Your stories are great examples of conversation starters and how to connect with people.
Personally I enjoy asking questions when I meet people about their non-business lives.
When there is a thread we may follow along in a common interest I will go there and engage.
This begins the relationship building necessary in any networking.

We all must continue to learn and grow. On this journey we always begin with self. How do we view ourselves. Without an honest appraisal of how we view ourselves we cannot learn and grow. The point is if we view ourselves as too old – we will be seen by others as too old. The older you are the more you have to learn from those who are young. In return offer the young some of your experience.

Solid advice my friend. We must tap into what matters most and create a life that we love. I recently read this quote and it rang true for me.

“Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion.” ~ Simon Sinek.

When you being to FEEL the niggling’s you described, it might just be time to revisit your “WHY”.
